Ran dry: what happened
In July 2021 the springs and streams supplying Echo Mutual Water Company, the small community system for Echo, fell so low in the drought that the company went to a limited supply and the community began relying on water trucked in from Henefer and then from the Weber Basin Water Conservancy District to keep its tanks from running dry. By early August state officials said Echo was effectively out of its own water, with about nine tanker loads covering roughly ten days of supply.
