Cut off: what happened
Sinclair takes its treated water from the City of Rawlins system. When that system emptied on March 3, 2022 after a main break, a treatment-plant line failure and months of reduced spring supply, Sinclair lost pressure with it; the city's report says the town's tank had been auto-refilling from the depleted Rawlins tanks. Residents of both communities were under a boil advisory until March 8 and were supplied with bottled and well water at the county fairgrounds.
